The ACNPCN Calculator is a powerful tool designed for pilots, flight operations engineers, dispatchers, airport operators, and others to assist them in verifying the bearing strength limitations of both flexible and rigid airport pavements. This app simplifies the process of determining the maximum allowable aircraft weight for safe operations on runways, taxiways, and aprons.
Utilizing the ICAO ACN/PCN method as outlined in Annex 14 and Document 9157 Part 3, the ACNPCN Calculator provides accurate results to ensure safe operations. The app sources aircraft data primarily from manufacturers' published data, such as the Aircraft Characteristics for Airport Planning (ACAP) manuals. In cases where manufacturer data is not available, alternative data or ICAO methods are used to ensure reliable results.
The ACNPCN Calculator is designed for iPhone 8+ screen sizes, and it can also be used on iPad. With an extensive aircraft database, including popular models from Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, and Gulfstream, among others, the app covers a wide range of aircraft types.
